The Road Crash Rescue Challenge was held at the Wayville Show Grounds, as part of the Adelaide Motor Show, on 2nd & 3rd April.

Teams from around the State, representing the CFS, MFS, SES and a team from the Country Fire Authority (CFA) in Victoria, took part.

Teams undertook several exercises, and were marked on several aspects of each exercise, including stabilisation of a crashed car, first aid techniques, accessing of patients, and road crash rescue techniques.

The overall winner of the RCR Challenges was a team from Salisbury MFS, with Blackwood CFS coming in second overall, with Laura SES in third place.

Winning teams will be heading to New Zealand, to represent their service at the National Championships later this year
