Exercise EmuExercise Emu was a multi - agency exercise, involving SACFS, SAMFS, SA Police and DEH, and was held in Chambers Gully, off Waterfall Gully. The scenario involved a crash of small aircraft, with 8 people on board. Crews had to deal with the crashed "plane", initial first aid for casualties, a resulting grass fire, preservation of the crash scene, search for survivors / bodies and their subsequent rescue. One of the aims of the exercise was to enable the different services to test their major incident coordination skills.
