The starting point for this year's conference was the Fire Services Training Centre, on Pyrites Road, Brukunga. It was designed as an informal get together of all participants, and included the Official Conference Opening at 8.30pm, by The Honorable Mr. Robert Brokenshire MP JP, Minister for Police, Correctional Services and Emergency Services.
After theOfficial Opening was completed, the Minister was presented with a 'CFS Trauma Teddy' and a Wildfire Rose.
During the evening, participants were able to register for the seminars on Saturday, and the workshops on Sunday, and to meet and network with all the other participants from across South Australia, and parts of New South Wales.
