A Pumper appliance carries approximately 1200 litres of water, and is fitted with a large volume power take off pump enabling large pressures to be produced for multi storey buildings and incidents which require large volumes of water. These appliances are designed to be connected directly to a hydrant on arrival, with the appliance tank being sufficient till this is acheived. Whilst the pump is in running mode, the appliance cannot be moved and becomes a fixed resource.
