Bool Lagoon took delivery of a refurbished 34 today. The new Bool Lagoon 34 is based on a 2012 Isuzu FTS800 crew chassis, is 4 x 4 and carries 3000 litres of water. Built by Fraser Fire and Rescue, it is fitted with a Deutz BF4L2011 motor / Darley HE500 pump. It includes additional safety features to protect firefighters, including a halo system (water deluge system) and an in-cab breathing system. It comes fitted with driving lights and an Engel fridge, and equipped with a Stihl chainsaw. It was previously based at Port Clinton. It replaces the existing 28 year old Hino based Bool Lagoon 24, which will be sent for disposal. Thanks Andrew Hogg for the photo
