Mount Damper took delivery of a 34 on Friday.

The new Mount Damper 34 is based on a 2009 Isuzu FTS800 crew chassis, is 4 x 4 and carries 3000 litres of water.

Built by Moore Engineering, it is fitted with a Deutz BF4L2011 motor / Gaam Mk450 pump.

It includes additional safety features to protect firefighters, including a halo system (water deluge system) and an in-cab breathing system.

It was previously based at Karkoo.

It replaces the existing 28 year old Hino based Mount Damper 24 - the very last frontline single cab Hino in the CFS fleet - which will be sent for disposal.

Thanks Region 6 HQ for the photo.
