Yeelanna took delivery of a refurbished 44 today.

The new Yeelanna 44 is based on a 2015 Isuzu FTS800 Crew chassis, is 4 x 4 and carries 4000 litres of water.

Built by Fraser Fire and Rescue, it is fitted with a Deutz F3L2011 motor / Darley 2.5 AGE pump.

It includes additional safety features to protect firefighters, including a halo system (water deluge system) and an in-cab breathing system.

It comes fitted with an LED light bar and Engel fridge, and equipped with a Stihl chainsaw.

It was previously based at Hamley Bridge

It replaces the 21 year old Isuzu based Yeelanna 34, which was removed from service in July 2024. The brigade were using a Regional spare appliance until now.

Thanks Dean Norman for the photo.
