Event Three of the State Cadet Championships was Knapsack Relay. Cadets had to get dressed into their Personal Protective Clothing (PPC) and get into the appliance. Once the crew was in, they then had to get out and head to the rear of the appliance to where there was a knapsack containing water. Each cadet put the knapsack on their back (with whatever assistance they needed from other cadets), tested they had water, then walked to a target. Using water from the knapsack had to hit a target, walk back to the appliance, take the knapsack off and pass it to the next cadet. Each of the six cadets had to wear the knapsack and hit the target. Results: 1st Place - Team Combustibles - Region 2 - including cadets from Williamstown, Lyndoch, Gumeracha, Freeling, Tanunda and Nuriootpa. 2nd Place - Team Firebolts - Region 4 - including cadets from Jamestown and Roxby Downs 3rd Place - Team Hot Eyre - Region 6 - Lincoln CFS This is one of the teams competing in the event.
