The new Region 2 Incident Command Vehicle - Region 2 ICV was officially commissioned today. The vehicle, based on an Isuzu 2 wheel drive chassis, was designed by Region 2 staff and members of the Region 2 Operations brigade, with input from volunteers across the Region. The new ICV comes self contained, with communications facilities, computers, and its own generators, and is capable of being utilised as a small command centre, (or to provide extra space for a larger Incident Management Team) a forward command post, or to assist at protracted incidents, such as a Hazmat, where extra shelter for crews can be beneficial. The new Region 2 ICV was built by Aldom. The vehicle replaces the 22 year old Hino based bus - Region 2 OSV
