We live in Valley Road Hazelbrook and are extremely grateful for the help your crews gave us during the recent fires, especially on Friday and Saturday 4 & 5th Jan. We would like to thank the individual brigades but have only some of the station names: Mt Lofty, Mawson Car 1 (with Roger as controller) Hahndorf, Mt Barker, Mt Pleasant, Lobethal, Seaford, Morphett Vale and Dalkeith. Thank you again for their efforts. For many of your members, the character of the wildfires we experience in the Blue Mountains must have come as something of a shock but their bravery and competence were never in question. All of us are most grateful. Maybe one day we can repay the compliment. May your state be forever spared the devastation for which your firefighters are so obviously well prepared Tim and Kristine Hazelbrook
