Mt Benson took delivery of a refurbished 34 tonight. The new Mt Benson 34 is based on a 2009 Isuzu FTS800 crew chassis, is 4 x 4 and carries 3000 litres of water. Built by Moore Engineering it is fitted with a Deutz BF4L2011 motor / Gaam Mk450 pump. It comes fitted with driving lights and an Engel fridge. It was previously based at Keith. It replaces the existing 28 year old Hino based Mt Benson 24, which will be assessed for ongoing operational use.
