Pekina took delivery of a refurbished 34 today. The new Pekina 34 is based on a 2009 Isuzu FTS800 crew chassis, is 4 x 4 and carries 3000 litres of water. Built by Moore Engineering it is fitted with a Deutz BF4L2011 motor / Gaam Mk 450 pump. It comes fitted with Hella Rally 4000 driving lights and an Engel fridge, and equipped with a Stihl chainsaw. It was previously based at Wilmington. It replaces the existing 28 year old Hino based Pekina 24, which will be assessed for ongoing operational use.
