Following devastating bushfires in the eastern states, Origin Energy has made donations to several Australian firefighting agencies, including the SA Country Fire Service.

Origin Energy has donated $30,000 of equipment to South Australia's CFS, including GPS units, printers, and a real-time mapping system.

The GPS units, mapping system and one of the printers will be utilized in the field at major bushfire incidents and will allow CFS firefighters to compile detailed maps of bushfires.

The SACFS Chief Executive Officer, Vince Monterola, officially took delivery of the new equipment on Wednesday 21st May, at the Stirling CFS Station.

CFS Regional Commander Andrew Lawson explains the new equipment to Origin Energy's General Manager Public & Government Affairs Tony Wood, the Hon Pat Conlon, Minister for Emergency Services, the SACFS CEO, Vince Monterola. (right)
