Refurbished 44 for Booborowie

Booborowie took delivery of a refurbished 44 today. The new Booborowie 44 is based on a 2014 Isuzu FTS800 Crew chassis, is 4 x 4 and carries 4000 litres of water. Built by Fraser Fire and Rescue, it is fitted with a Deutz F3L2011 motor / Darley 2.5 AGE pump. It includes additional safety features to protect firefighters, including a halo system (water deluge system) and an in-cab breathing system. It comes fitted with an LED light bar and Engel fridge, and equipped with a Stihl chainsaw. It was previously based at Tailem Bend. It replaces the existing 21 year old Isuzu based Booborowie 34, which will be refurbished and sent to another brigade. Thanks Braeden Gatt for the photo.
