The "Celebration of Participation conference", organised by the Women of the CFS committee, was held over the June long weekend, at the CFS state training centre, at Brukunga. Around 80 participants (men and women) took part in the activities. The conference included discussion seminars on training, building websites, giving school talks and dealing with Cadets. There were a number of workshops, relating to CFS activites. The workshops included the opportunity to try a number of topics, including the use of Global Positioning Systems, Driver training - both 4 wheel drives, and trucks, Electronic mapping, Road Crash Rescue and Fire Weather.
