Jamestown took delivery of a new 24P today.
The new Jamestown 24P is based on a 2024 Isuzu FTS 139-260 chassis, is 4 x 4 and carries 2000 litres of water.
It is fitted with a six speed Allison transmission & Allison retarder.
Built by Fraser Fire and Rescue, it is fitted with a Deutz BF4L2011W motor / Darley HE500 pump.
It includes additional safety features to protect firefighters, including a halo system (water deluge system) and an in-cab breathing system.
The new heavy appliances also include air conditioning vents for the crews in the rear seats, as well as those travelling in the front of the cab.
This appliance includes a range of urban firefighting equipment, as well as a full set of Road Crash Rescue tools.
It comes fitted with an LED lights and an Engel fridge, and equipped with a Milwaulkee chainsaw, Milwaulkee quick cut saw, Ramfan Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) fan and a Tirfor winch.
It replaces the existing 24 year old Isuzu based Jamestown 24P, which will be allocated to another brigade.
Thanks Region 4 HQ for the photo.
