On January 11th 2005, hundreds of CFS Volunteers were deployed to the Mount Osmond / Eagle on the Hill area, after a fire was deliberatly lit. Ground crews, assisted by water bombers, worked extremtly hard to bring the fire under control, in severe firer weather condtions. As a result of the actions of firefighters, many houses were saved, and the spread of the fire limited.
