The SA Country Fire Service stages firefighting competitions between Brigades each year. These competitions are conducted in a spirit of friendly rivalry and are a great opportunity to catch up with friends, collaborators and supporters. The SA Country Fire Service Firefighting Competitions will this year be staged on Sunday, 15th October at Goolwa. The competitions will be officially opened at 1000 hrs. and will conclude with an awards ceremony at about 1630 hours. There will also be an informal pre-Competitions dinner on the previous evening, Sat 14 October, at the Goolwa RSL Clubrooms Goolwa Tce, Goolwa, at 1830 for 1900 hrs.
